Angry Viper status

Is Angry Viper abandoned?

The README on the repo at GitLab says installation is documented in section 3.4 of the v2.0.0 installation guide, but it doesn't appear to get a mention at all on the later documents.

There's some reference to an OpenCPI GUI; I had a go with that recently but it appeared to be in a bit of an alpha state (i.e. didn't work at all well).

FWIW, I'm a software engineer and just interested in being able to browse through the C++ stuff with navigation between:

  1. Example application
  2. BSP
  3. OpenCPI stuff

In the same sort of way I can work with projects in Eclipse, Visual Studio etc. Is there any way to do that? I couldn't see anything that stood out as such in the documentation.

Hi John,

We no longer support the Angry Viper eclipse plugin for OpenCPI. As of
OpenCPI v2.3.4 documentation for it was removed. You are correct, the
replacement for it is the OpenCPI GUI and it is currently in a Beta state.

At this time there is no documentation related to working with OpenCPI
assets within an integrated development environment (IDE).

Thanks for that Aaron. Does an “Issue” need to be raised on the AngryViper repo to get the readme updated to clarify that?
